As you may know, Bacchus was the god of wine and Comus was the god of revelry, but not of gluttony. We keep you informed about innocent revels (as Henry Purcell put it) which we come across or instigate ourselves.
AN ANNOUNCEMENT
Just a little note to advise you that we have combined this site with the Wine Behind The Label website. The Bacchus and Comus site will continue but only as a reference archive. New reviews, articles, products and notices of events are now all at www.winebehindthelabel.com
together with some exciting new offers. And the full panoply of Sonia’s recipes has moved to WBTL too.
We thank those who visited this site over the last five years, and hope you’ll try out the new one.
