As you may know, Bacchus was the god of wine and Comus was the god of revelry, but not of gluttony. We keep you informed about innocent revels (as Henry Purcell put it) which we come across or instigate ourselves.

APOLOGIES

Sorry you haven't heard from us for a while. I had an accident on Christmas Day and as a result I sustained torn ligaments and tendons in my left leg which has kept me pretty immobile and Sonia tied up in ferrying me back and forth to medical consultations. Still, I'm on the mend and hope to be fully fit by the time we have our next event here in Pelham Street on May 10th. (see below)

BLOGGING

I don't think that I am really a blogger, but I'll keep the blog page open for a while more. I the meantime, can somebody add something to the page? Ask a question - please!

TRAVEL

Swinging Cabo inBaja California. Is it worth it?

EVENTS

Our next event at Pelham Street brings over Cristina Geminiani from Fattoria Zerbina, near Ravenna one of Italy's most respected leading wine producers, on May 10th. See all the details on the Events page.

HOTEL REVIEW

We review the Park Hyatt in Buenos Aires, with a terrific restaurant where you can actually eat fish. (Although we didn't!)

WINE FEATURES

We are starting a new regular feature seeking out the best value wines you can buy for less than £10. Amazing how many there are at £9.99! Read all about it!

BORDEAUX TRADE OFFER

There are still some wines available here although a lot have gone. Click top right.

RECIPES

It's a long time since Sonia posted up a recipe - here is one of my favourites - SCALLOPS COOKED IN NOILLY PRAT.

So, until the next time - happy eating, happy drinking and happy travelling!
